Most people prefer to stay in their homes as they age. Small things can make a big difference with staying safe while remaining at home. Walk-in bathtubs, hand-held shower-heads, specialized flooring, such as stair treads and slip-resistant rugs, automatic shut-off timers for electrical appliances, and helpful lighting, such as motion sensor night lights and hands-free lighting.
Yesterday, I listened to a TED Radio Hour Podcast titled, "Rethinking Death." TED Radio Hour Podcasts usually involved excerpts of three TED talks related to the same topic. The first story in this Podcast is about an artist, Candy Chang, who had someone very close to her pass on. With her grief came a focus on life and what is most important about it.
